Advanced Technologies are the subjects that shape our futures and the world we live in. You can progress in the fast-moving world of Computing, study Mathematics to ensure a business success, shape the townscapes of the future through Built Environment programmes or develop life-changing machinery in the many fields of Engineering and Technology.
All of our courses are relevant to the rapidly-developing industries that you’ll be entering after graduation. We have close links with industry and tailor our courses to match the needs of employers, making our students even more employable when it’s time to enter the workplace.
We have over 150 courses, over 3700 students, 1555 part time students, 525 international students and 165 research students.

Missile data found on hard drives
New research from the Faculty of Advanced Technology reveals that one in three second-hand hard drives still contain sensitive company and personal information, such as launch procedures for a US military missile air defence system.

Former Glamorgan Student Peter Davies wins Innovation Award
Preston-based Juicy Media, founded in 1999 by Ian Strachan and Peter Davies, wins the prestigious Innovation Award at this year's Be Inspired Business Awards at Blackpool's Winter gardens. Close to 900 applicants were in line for BIBA Awards with 75 finalists in 14 categories. Juicy Media won their category with a unanimous decision.
